I have host hopped through the years. I have left for various reasons – most of them resulting in horrid customer service – waiting WAY too long, getting wrong information, they simply don’t care about security and frankly told me they didn’t know when their servers would be updated with the most current version of PHP, and on and on with more bad customer service.
In 2014, I attended a WordCamp that had a class before the weekend seminar. It was all about setting up WordPress on a hosting provider. They were giving us a YEAR free with SiteGround. I thought oh boy another one. But I was pleasantly surprised of the raving reviews the instructor had talked about SiteGround. I had heard the talk up of a host before, but never in such an animated way with such enthusiasm. Something was different.
I continued the SiteGround account, for the first 6 months and was pleased with the ease of use. I decided to upgrade my account and start paying for shared hosting. When I ran into trouble, I started calling. I got through quickly and was helped pleasantly through the problem. This became the norm. Now I understand the animated enthusiasm. SiteGround makes customer service ONE of their main priorities. Security and development ease with staging with Git another, and now free SLL certificate for your site when you create one.
Through the years, I anticipate the blog news from SiteGround, knowing some other mind blowing feature, or upped security has been made. I love them and they love me by sending a knitted scarf and hat (after Christmas) in February where it had been quite the mild winter in the southern United States. It totally is the thought that counts – really!!
Whenever I am at a computer conference and they have a booth, I am always saying hello and shaking hands (and snagging a pair of free SG socks!).
So without further conversation, I leave you my affiliate link where you will get deep discounts on all their accounts including their full featured GoGeek account to use Git Staging if you are geeky like that. I know I am.
Overview of awesomeness that I have come to love:
And when you do something stupid and your site goes down. You have access to your GoGeek account daily backups. One click of a button and POOF your site is back up and running! So Excellent!!
Sound good to you so far??
